3月7日、8日の両日、東京国際文芸フェスティバルのマスタークラスの翻訳ワークショップを行いました。
日本語の著書を英語に翻訳するプロフェッショナルが集い、その英語の文章を更に向上させるにはどうしたらよいか？を学ぶという、ハイレベルなワークショップです。
世界で活躍する作家、サラ・バウアー氏とタッシュ・オー氏が講師を務めました。
来年の文芸フェスティバルではShimaumaで行う新企画を立ち上げる予定です。

A masterclass on Japanese-English literary translation was held at Shimauma during the Tokyo International Literary Festival on March 7-8th.
Led by the distinguished writers, Tash Aw and Sarah Bower, the two-day masterclass explored the next stage of translation – editing the English text.
Participants gathered from around Japan to work with Tash and Sarah focusing on editorial feedback and the reader’s perspective, and were later joined by publishers and editors.
